Next Big Thing: Smartphones

The next big thing in sustainable product design is to design smartphones with more circularity. With billions of people in the world owning smartphones, and new models being released every year, smartphones should be designed to last longer, be easily repaired, and be easily remanufactured for resale. This would have a large impact in decreasing electronic waste, making smartphones accessible to more customers, and increasing revenue for smartphone manufacturers.
