The fashion industry produces an enormous amount of waste. There are a number of ways to reduce clothing waste. One is simply to consume less. Buy only those articles you know that you really like and will wear relatively frequently. Furthermore, do not be afraid to borrow clothes. I find that sharing clothes among some of my friends creates a sense of community while also reducing clothing waste. Thrifting is also a great way to reduce clothing waste by purchasing secondhand clothing. Also, upcycling clothing into new pieces can be a really engaging and rewarding creative activity.
