Project Page - Environmental Document

In this project, we were approached by a client who is in the process of obtaining a business license and is required to present an environmental document.

The client, who is engaged in product assembly, has machines for processing solid raw materials. Aside from minimal waste, their activities do not pose significant environmental concerns.

Every business, to some extent, has an ecological footprint, although Israeli authorities do not currently require businesses to calculate and assess their environmental impact. However, the client specifically requested an assessment of their environmental influence for future reference.

During the survey we conducted on behalf of the client, we visited the business premises, interviewed the owner, conducted a tour, and documented all incoming materials, products, various waste streams, energy and water consumption, as well as noise emissions to the environment.

The report includes five chapters:

  1. Description of the environment prior to the implementation of the proposed plan in order to establish a comparative basis for the environmental condition.

  2. Detailed explanation of the reasons for choosing the location for the proposed plan and highlighting the advantages compared to alternative locations.

  3. Description and detailing of future activities following the implementation of the proposed plan.

  4. Detailed assessment of the environmental impact resulting from the implementation of the proposed plan. Additionally, the required measures to minimize the negative impact on the environment are specified.

  5. Summary of findings and recommendations regarding the proposed plan.

The document is supported by approvals, diagrams, material balances, and more, aiming to demonstrate that the business operates to minimize environmental damage caused by its operations.

As stated, the purpose of the document is to present the environmental aspects associated with the business operations and prove their compliance with legal requirements.

In this case, since the business is not required to have environmental permits, the work was carried out solely in collaboration with the client (unlike other projects that involve the involvement of additional entities such as the Israeli Police, Home Front Command, Fire and Rescue Authority, etc.).
